Code Collection

In an increasingly digital and standardized world, the Bar Code, with its inner contrast between standardization and randomization, has inspired this line of furniture. The teak wood slats are positioned in a non-symmetric way: some of them are closer each other and some other are farther to create a “bar code” effect.

The non-symmetric disposition of the slats together with the squared and rigorous structure makes a peculiar effect.

Garden living by Il Giardino di Legno

A particular attention has been paid to the outdoor furniture in terms of research, design and style, for a long time. The outdoor living – in a garden, open air space or terrace – is now synonym of comfort, relax and social relations joined to an elegant and sober harmony in lines and materials. Thus the outdoor furniture and complements go beyond the specific purpose and use, and to such an extent that you might find outdoor furniture in indoor spaces, as if it would be the natural extension between the two parts of a house and the other way around. The quality of the materials, treated to face wear and all weather conditions is just one of the technical advantages of outdoor furniture.

“Il Giardino di Legno” has been an active trademark on the Italian market since 2003, when it offered high quality outdoor teak furniture to its customers. In 2007 the trademark was taken over by “Società Italiana Legnami e Arredamenti Torino – SILAT SRL”: a process of internationalisation and updating of the collections, with the introduction of new materials, matchings them each other.
Thanks to a cooperative network of different companies and to the attendance to a lot of events of the sector abroad, the trademark is now distributed in more than 40 countries in the world, from the USA to Japan, getting a considerable portion of the outdoor furniture market. The important know-how got through the years and the ability to produce specific articles for any different planning requirement have led to continuative cooperation with well-known architectural firms to realize glamorous projects throughout the five continents.

The attention to details, design, quality of the materials and productive technique, mixing innovation and craft, is the common and distinguishing element of the collections by “Il Giardino di Legno”.
